More Men's Birthday Cards

As I have mentioned before I think that Men's birthday cards are the hardest to come up with. My husbands birthday was just a few weeks ago so I had to figure something out. That normally starts with a search through my paper stacks. I found a great striped paper and realized I had a "happy birthday" sentiment on my new cricut cartridge. I played with it a bit and this is what I came up with. It is pretty basic but I don't think it needs much more. Guys don't really need all the foofy extras. The colors are perfect for any guy. The sentiment is 2 layered pieces giving it a bit of texture to the card.

This card is currently listed on my Etsy store. Check out the link on the side of the blog.

You Rock!

I was on the hunt for some "guy" paper to make my brother a birthday card. I came across another full page with corner images that had guitars. Perfect. Here are the 2 cards I came up with.

I love the color scheme of the brown, blue and green.
The top card will be listed in my store later this week.

Dragonfly Birthday card

This dragon fly card was made a few weeks ago for my friend Alyssa. (Sorry Lyss that you will probably see it here first. I forgot to take it to dinner on her birthday and it is waiting on my counter for her next visit.)
It is another page layout corner. I am loving these for fast cards. I just added the Happy Birthday sentiment and layered some blue and white card stock. I love that this paper already has 2 coordinating patterns.

Class of 2010

I was asked to create a graduation announcement for a family friend. 70 in fact plus party inserts for each one as well. Here is what I came up with. Congrats to Calvin! We are so proud of you.

Dino Shower

This post is late in coming but better late than never. Back in March Dara and I threw a baby shower for our friend Dena as a part of our mom's group. Unfortunately I was unable to attend due to sick kiddos. So I sent the decorations with Dara that I had made and asked for pics. So here you go.
His nursery is in earth tones of blue, green. and brown dinosaurs. I made a name banner and cupcake toppers to match.

The name banner.

The cupcakes!

And some cute onsies Dara made.

m&m Favors

As I promised here is a closer look at the m&m favors I made. They were individual bags of m&m's with a cute tag that said thank you. Of course the pattern coordinated with the other items I made for the party.
The tags, Happy Birthday banner, and cupcake toppers will all be available in my etsy store soon.

This is what I started with.

Cute coordinating Thank you tags. Perfect for any type of favor. Could be turned into stickers for favor bags, or cute tins.

Of course the theme in a bag! Don't those look yummy.

A tag in every color.

And a coordinating tag for the favor container as well.

m&m Birthday Party

Last Saturday my twins turned ONE! We had a fun m&m party with lots of friends and family. I made several banners and cupcake toppers. I was really happy with how they turned out.

This was the birthday boy's seats of honor.

I made high chair banners for each of them with their names.

A Happy Birthday banner as a back drop.
Notice all the coordinating dot paper as seen in the sneak peeks.

A photo banner of each baby. This was a progression of each month.
My awesome friend Dara helped me by assembling these. She did a great job.

The room.

Each table had a balloon bouquet held by these cute m&m tins.
And m&m coloring sheets and crayons. They were a big hit.

The cakes!

I made a set of cupcake toppers with the coordinating dots.
They had m's, 1's and Happy Birthday on them in all the colors.

Cute mini m&m's were perfect on the cupcakes.

The boys smash cakes!

The favors.
You will have to come back Monday to see the favors up close.

And it wouldn't be a birthday post without a picture of the birthday boys.

Thank you to everyone who helped me set up and make this party awesome. It was so much fun.

You can now get a printable version of this party line in my etsy shop. See it here.
