Chocolate Dipped Pretzel Rods

I thought I would change things up a bit this week with the holidays right around the corner and share a yummy snack idea. I served these pretzels at a baby shower but they could also be a great favor or holiday gift for friends and family.
The baby shower was pink and brown so I started out by finding pink, white, and brown chocolate. You could use white chocolate with food coloring for your lighter colors. Most craft stores carry something like this in many colors.

Next you will need Pretzel rods like these.

Start by melting your chocolate either in a double boiler or slowly in the microwave stirring every 30sec or so.

Line a cookie sheet with wax paper. I laid out my whole pretzel rods (there are always some broken ones- great for snacking later) on one tray and had another ready for my dipped ones.

Pour melted chocolate into a dish and dip each pretzel. Shake lightly to remove excess chocolate and place on the wax paper to cool.
I poured my melted chocolate into a tall tumbler instead of a bowl. This allowed me to use less chocolate by having it be deeper to dip into.

Repeat in each desired type of chocolate.

Pour remaining chocolate into a ziplock bag. Trim a small hole in the corner and drizzle across pretzels.

Repeat with any additional colors. This would be fun for Christmas drizzled in red and green.

The yummy cute finished product.

They were a big hit and so easy to coordinate with your party colors.
To use as a favor just place in cello bags and tie with a coordinating ribbon.

Hope you enjoyed this post. I will have more soon on the dipped marshmallows and layered cookie mixes in a jar.

Butterfly Birthday Party Set

I was asked to create a party set to coordinate with this tableware.

I created a butterfly invitation and thank you card. The customer wanted them to be the same originally with just the sentiment changed. Instead we did them opposite directions but the same layout. I love how they work so perfectly together but yet have their own look.

If you saw my previous post here then you can see that we made some big changes to the original card. The customer chose this layout color option with more of the blue from the tableware, glitter, and polka dots to the body. While it definitely increased the amount of time it took to create these I love the end result.

This is a much larger centerpiece than I have done in the past. They are 4.5" and 6" circles. I love how they turned out. I think the flower pot is a perfect fit for this theme. I cut the S and 3 in the same font as the invite wording

My butterfly centerpiece circles make it so easy to create your own unique look. Just add to any container of your choice and add a touch of your theme on any table.

This butterfly door hanger is one of my new favorite items to create. It is such a fun way to greet your guests as they enter the party room. They can just say Happy Birthday or add your child's name.

These 4" party circles will be used on the favor and silverware containers. I am super excited to see pictures from this party.

And last are the favor tags. I love the coordinating polka dot borders and again matching font.

These will be adorable tied to a cute favor to say Thank You to your guests.

Watch for a coordinating Butterfly Happy Birthday banner and butterfly cupcake toppers after the holidays. I am looking forward to duplicating this set for my store.
Hope you enjoyed!

Butterfly Card Set

If you have been on my facebook page recently you probably saw a sneak peek of a butterfly set I am working on. I have so many cute items I am putting together. It has grown quite a bit per the customers request adding an additional color, polka dots, and glitter to the line. Here is a look at the first samples I put together. I love the look of the pinks and green. I may have to make more than one version of this set. I am loving them both.

Here are 2 invite options and a Thank you card.

A Sweet Cupcake Card

I was going through my photos this week and found this cute card that I had never shared here.
I love cupcakes. Not only are they super cute and so fun to decorate they are sooo yummy! I have been wanting to do a cupcake card for a while. I had 2 little girls birthday parties that I needed cards for and this was the perfect theme.

I love the sparkle and texture of the stripes behind the cupcake.
And the cute heart on top to add a girlie touch.

I tied it with a coordinating ribbon knot and stamped the saying
"A Little SWEET Surprise"
Wouldn't these be a cute party invite?
This card is available for sale on my etsy store right now here. I can see a coordinating banner in my future. :)

Pink & Black Banner

I had a friend come to me a while back asking if I could do a banner for their company. They were hosting a booth at an upcoming bridal show. She was using some beautiful Dark pink cloth napkins and Good n Plenty candy in her decor. I had the perfect color of paper.

This first picture is just one of the names in the banner. I thought it was a super cute color combo for a bedroom name banner or birthday party as well.

This is the whole banner. They were unable to use pins to hang in for this event. They did a great job of making it work. I know they are planning on using it for a number of other events as well.

If you are getting married in the Bend area check out their facebook page here. They have some amazing photos of their events.

Baby Boy Thank You Cards

A friend of mine asked me to make her some thank you cards for her baby shower gifts. I had this super cute striped and dot patterned paper that I had been wanting to use on something. This was the perfect opportunity.

I think these are such a great simple way to have a cute thank you card. Who wouldn't love to get their thank you message on a handmade card.

Roller Skating Party

I was asked to create a basic invite and centerpiece for a friend's daughter's party. It was going to be at the skating rink in the black light party room. Her only request was that it be electric blue and yellow. Here is what I came up with.

Hope you have a fun party Emily. I cannot wait to see pictures. :)
